Retro-fit Cruise Control
« on: 12 October 2006, 19:08 »
I'm about to join the GTi fraternity on monday when my new GTi arrives (diamond black), and had a question for the experts out there.

The dealer fitted cruise control seems to be a bargain at £150 (much cheaper than a Road Angel!!)

Has anyone had it fitted? And, does it just work like traditional cruise control (keeping the car at a constant speed) or does it have a 'limiter' on it as well, where you can drive 'as you like' until you reach your desired speed, and it then stops you going any quicker?

My Mrs' Merc C220 has this and its a nice touch. I know the GTi MFD has the 'beeper' that goes off when you get to  a certain speed, but wanted to know if the cruise control had this 'limiter' feature as well.

Cheers

Hi

works as you say but there is no limiter on it.

as you say a bargain at £150 but the road angel is also great when you want a bit of fun!
