One touch global close
« on: 06 October 2006, 21:42 »
Hi,

Is there any way to do a full central lock and roll the windows up with one key press?

I forgot I had a rear down and left it outside work and had a downpour. It was only down a bit, but served as a warning. Preferably programmed by VAG-COM, but would buy add on alarm bits if reasonable.

Ta, Paul

I don't know on the mk5 but if you lock it by key (that bit you put in the ignition! fancy button locking devices!) and hold it over when you lock it should close the windows and sunroof, on unlock hold it over and it will open all the windows and sunroof. Useful in the summer :)

Cheers Monza,

But what im really after is a one touch, fire and forget, idiot proof lock it all with one button option, preferably the remote.

there is a one touch close system on the GTI.  if you press and hold down the lock button the the remote/fob then all windows and the sunroof will close.  reverse applies if you hold down the unlock button.

Clifford alarm with smart windows would do it but for £500 ish I'd hold the button down
