Getting insurance on a 1.8 Turbo

I have a Mk4 2.0GTI at the moment and it ain't really doing it for me.  I want to trade it in and get a MK4 1.8T but insurance is a problem. I'm currently paying £2300 a year for my 2.0GTI insurance and don't really want to spend much more. I need your help to find a insurer that will quote a young MALE driver happy on a VW MK4 1.8T. OR even a diesel with 130/150 BHP  :evil:

Bell are a relatively new company/subsiduary so they need customers.

I went from a 1.2 Fiesta (75bhp) to a 1.8T Golf GTI (150Bhp) and my premium only went up £200 quid.

Im 23, 5 years no claims.

But I would try HIC first

Admiral - 23, Male 2000 1.8T, no points etc, 0 Years NCB with the extra cover that lets me use my car for work ~£400.  Thats for the 10 month bonus accelerator thought which apparantly some other companies don't accept as a years NCB.

I'm 24.. 2 yrs NCB and paying £500 for a 99 1.8T. Thats with elephant.co.uk

i found elephant the cheapest for my 2.0 at £900 and im 20 no ncb. the 1.8t would have pushed me up anothre 600+ so im keeping it for a year or so to hopefully build up some ncb and then get the turbo.

Always Admiral for me, Golf 1.8T GTI AND a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7litre V8  :evil: Both one ths same policy for a tota of £380 a year.

Now that keeps me happy!  :cool:
