It's here - hooray

Picked up my reflex silver GTI yesterday. Missus says I've not stopped smiling yet. What a great car - fun to drive after my Audi diesel.
One question - I've got rear parking sensors - is the passenger mirror supposed to dip when it's engaged (as mine doesn't).
Great to properly join the club!

lol forgot to reply to your 1st question , ive been threw the handbook, i think it was removed from a vw safety update, that u can no longer select that option in the comfort menu or something... i cannot get my mirrors to do that either, and my gti has every extra except sunroof installed on it.

Cheers for that - never mind.
Yeah the mpg is a shock after a diesel but at least I look forward to driving it!

the mirror tilting down when in reverse will work if you have folding mirrors option and you set the mirror switch to the left had side position. now when you select reverse it will tilt down and then when you drive off it will go back to where it was, at least thats how mine works.

There's a thread on here in the welcome bit that tells you how to upload pics - try this
http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=2049
. First though you need a phot website account. The help thread on here says photobucket - not sure if that's free? I use smugmug which costs but then I have family in Scotland so I use it for photo sharing with them so it's worth it for me.
My car has cruise, parking sensors, armrest and multi-func steering wheel - and the flaps as well! I've just had the RCD300 replaced with a Kenwood DDX-6029 and iPod link, with bluetooth and can-bus adaptor to follow when they release them.
