Drivers car, Corrado
« on: 26 September 2006, 17:43 »
Had to put this post up!
I drove a Corrado 2.0 16v at the weekend. What a fantastic car. The build quality is fantastic. The interior is far better than my mates Alfa GTV and it drove far better too! The handling reminded me of the Pug 309 GTI which was known to be one of the best front wheeled drive cars ever (better than the 205 GTI due to longer wheelbase)
The Corrado is now one of the best cars i have driven and ive owned and driven many hot hatches over my 14 years of driving, i know its a coupe and not a hot hatch but what a car, puts other coupes to shame, the likes of the Calibra and Probe. Only fault was the perfomance. The 2.0 16v was not as fast as i expected. The VR6 or G60 must prove great fun!!

2.0 16v are pants. i've driven loads of corrado's .... g60's vr6's tuned, standard, etc and to be honest i was a bit un-impressed every time. maybe i thought they would be significantly better than my mk2?

i really like the rado's, the styling is spot on and with a few little mods they can look really classy!

i obviously like them cos i just bought one! Yeah think they are wicked and well chuffed with mine although the 16v ones are a little slow (but im comparing that with my old mk2 8v turbo so it would seem slow)  !

Corrado VR6 is far far quicker than any standard mk2.

I've had my Mk2 16v and loved ever minute but I bought a Corrado VR6 last week... it amazing.  It pulls like a train and is a hell of a lot quicker than my Golf.  Both lovely cars, just different.
