Throttle Bodies

Hi ive got a mk2 gti 8v digifant, ive been thionking about getting throttle bodies for it.

I dont know much about throttle bodies but i heard they're quite good. Any info wot they actually do lol???

How much of a increase in bhp would i be looking at.

do a bit of research they arent that simple or cheap and theres far too much to write in a post

Indeed, i enquired about badger5 tb's for my valver. getting on for 2.5k, not fitted.   


They work best with a p&p head too, oh & it'll drink fuel too, ok as long as it ain't your dialy driver.

I've always seen TB's as the last thing to do to an engine. Have the head done with a meaty cam etc. Bottom end balanced - pref a 2ltr aswell. THEN go with the TB's to get the most out of everything.

Otherwise, like Matt says, they will just drink fuel and you won't get your moneys worth out of them IMO.

also if you want to use them on an 8v you'd be better sourcing a mk4/new beetle cross flow 8v head.
