Just bought a 1993 K plate Mk3 gti 8v as a runabout.
Is a very tidy car but has a few issues, some of which I knew when i bought the car but a couple of others i found out after.
1. headlights not working. works ok for side lights and work when you flash them. I have a new switch coming which im hoping will sort this.
2. indicators have stopped working. i think i may have disturbed somethin when messing about with the relays when trying to find out if the relay had gone for the headlights. does anyone have a pic of the relay box so i can make sure they are all in the correct place, and maybe tell me which relay is for what.
3. idles a bit strangely. it starts up great and runs ok, then sometimes has a missfire, like the engines gonna cut out.
Have replaced plugs, oil/filters etc. dizzy and rotar arm looks pretty new on it too. I cleaned out the ICV and seems to have made it a bit better.
4. is a bit hesitant at low revs, like has a slight missfire.
I really need to get the indicators sorted pretty sharpish, can anybody help??
