Chipped UK / Upsolute
« on: 13 September 2006, 09:41 »
Does anyone have any experience of Chipped UK?  They're offering remaps at excellent prices and I was thinking of one for my 1998 1.8T AGU.  I've also heard that Upsolute are a cheaper option than, say, Revo or Custom Code, but their only UK franchises appear to be in Kent and Derbyshire.  As I live in the Staines/Windsor area, this is a bit of a hassle to get to.  Do they have any other outlets?  And what would they charge for a stage 1 remap?  Their website only quotes in Euros.

Thanks,
Russ.

ChippedUK wasn't popular on the E30 forums I used to go on, quite an argumentative fellow...

Yeah, I read a long thread over on the uk-mkivs forum and the guy from chippeduk dug a right old hole for himself.  That said, it didn't really tell you anything about the product (which he was only trying to defend, albeit badly).  All kinds of accusations were being thrown about, but nothing conclusive was presented one way or the other.  That was back in January and I've heard nothing for or against them since.

Thanks for that.  It's hard to ignore a £200 difference between Chipped Uk and the Revos of this world, even though I'm sure they offer a top notch service.

I've only ever heard positive feedback from many people on other forums about Jason from ChippedUK, especially on www.bmwland.co.uk
just go on there and do a search :)
