MK2 cab????

So,  why didn't VW ever build a cab version on the MK2 chassis???


Just curious thats all.

Because the only competition was the Fiat Strada Cabrio which was f*cking rubbish and the Escort cabrio which was ugly, rubbish and deeply naff.  VW probably thought about it and decided that the MK1 cab was so much better than those two that designing a new one wasn't worth the bother.


Wrong wheels and mine's Calypso not snot but it's close enough

i think i read it was something to do with the chassi not being stiff enough?  :undecided:
