Is 89k Too Much!!

Hello lads ,seriously considering buying a mint looking x reg 1.8t for £5500 grand at my local garage has all the right stamps and all the right receipt but is 89k on the clock too much ,also is the any major thing to look out for on the test drive or on the once over ?

Sounds a bit expensive..

My cars got 84k on a Y plate (2001) and still drives like it did when I picked it up on 50k. Just check it's had the cambelt done (although some VAG dealers claim 1st change is due at 120k!!?)
