radar detectors

looking on the net there are some really low range detectors and concidering its just gone 2004 its abit pathetic when technology is so good were making 40 inch lcd tvs and dvd players when they cant even make a detector which detects radar properly.

its only the new 2003 detectors which are any good

it seems like its took years for the radar detector makers years to even get near the range which the valentine 1 has!

i'm getting a new one soon with a hell of alot better range i detect a massive increase in mobile laser vans!

I've got a Valentine One and its definitely helped to preserve the licence. Was not cheap but a nice piece of kit.  Also got one of those laser diffusers (to open my electric garage door, ocifer)!

na, just wails a siren and flashs loads.
when there's a blackspot in the road ahead it just beeps and goes red until you're right ontop of it and then it flashes.

i was onwww.ukspeedtraps.co.uk

and i was reading the detector tests and according to them the valentine 1 gives 7.7second warning at 60mph thats 207m!!!!

they have also tested the bel 550 and thats 8.2 seconds at 60mph thats 222m! so thats better than the v1! so i'm saving up for one of theses... it also says laser alert for laser warnings and if it detecs a gatso it bleeps 2 times and then says k band and bleeps intermitantly (beeps get shorter and faster) until you reach the camera!!!!!! wicked!!!!!!!

here an audio of it aproaching the gasto!!!
http://www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk/jpg/radar/alert1.wav

it also says the ferquency and signal strength!

ive had snoopers in the past they said mine is only 3.3 seconds warning at 60mph.......ive always thought it was crap!!!!!!

time to get something good!!!!!! ;D ;D

Only problem with laser is that by the time the detector goes off then it is too late. I have an escort passport but haven't used it in a few months.
