Im trying to get a new car using my 16v as a part ex but they only want to give ?500 i know they are taking the piss so what should i be getting for it.

Sorry its got 50.000 miles on the clock ,every mot ,full vag s/h until last year, every service invoice from new, 3 door,black 1989 small bumper, factory fitted electric recaro trim e/w c/l p/s s/r 16v 90 spec bbs rims fairly clean body.

Sell it out right mate. You should be able to pull 2000 out of it no problems. Accept their 500 if they knock another 1500 off the car you are trading for.  if not it might be a good idea to look elsewere, What kind of car are  you looking for?

I dont really want to get rid of it but my wife had a baby 7 weeks ago and we need need a car with four doors and a bigger boot. When we go shopping theres no room in the boot apart from the buggy. I have a ford fiesta aswell but thats only worth about ?200. We are looking for a small people carrier type thing. :-[ :'( :'( :'

I know the feeling well. I have 2 children myself. 4 and 1. 2 door cars can be a hassle with a carseat. :)

Why not go for a VW Passat or Audi avant?
