Whenever i release the clutch pedal there is a click from the engine compartment, it can only be heard when the engine is stopped - is this normal or is it something to do with the bearings or something else? Thanks

ok I don't think there is anything to worry about at the moment, it would be an idea to get someone to press the pedal while you have a look in the engine bay to see if you can figure out where the noise is coming from

Could be the self adjustment bit on the clutch cable if fitted.
What engine?
