I originally planned to do a lot more a lot faster but unfortunately shortly after creating my page my daughter was born and has been taking up a lot of my time/finances since.

I should have an update within the next month as I'm currently flaring and colour coding the arches and bumpers.  The engine has had to be put on hold due to needing another £400 for new pistons and again the CarPC is also waiting on the available funds.

I'm hoping to have the cash to have a full respray over the Winter months with the engine/carPC now being postponed until early next year.

The trouble for me is it's difficult to get things done when you're on the kurb edge outside of your house with neighbours complaining about the mess   Why can't they just understand, if I had the money my choice would be to do it in a garage out of the way and not roadside.  :undecided:

I will do mine in one foul swoop, just collect a load of pictures, and then do the whole report in one go. Should be alright, as it will be a few years worth of work all compiled into one mass report about it.

I know what you mean , problem with my page was that there were a number of things preventing me from finishin my project , probably one of the reasons you see so many "un finished projects" in classified adds , with any luck my new toy (mk1 gti) will be here soon im in a better finantial position and hopefully everyone will continue readin about my stupid ideas and plans when i start up my project section soon , maybe JV or one of the mods could clear some space out ??

Hear what you are saying dizmond but the good thing about that section is that if people don't update their section it just disappears down the pages. The whole first page of project cars has been updated in the last 5 weeks :)

I've tried to update mine a few times now, typed up a whole page with pic's and everything, then I get the "connection problems" message and it all gets lost - I can't be bothered to try anymore its too frustrating to keep wasting all that time & effort

Note: It took me several attempts to reply to this thread

Did you update your thread actively whilst your car was at Designa?

the Dub projects didn't start until after I had my car back from there. I would have done if they had sent me pictures showing progress. I'm not saying anymore on the subject of designa dubs.

If you've wrote a lot copy it to the clipboard before clicking post. you won't loose it then if problems happen :)

To be honest I dont think it matters how often you post. I think the whole point should be to keep it interesing to read. I'm useless with a spanner and so can't do any work on my car myself (however I am learning slowly!). But I think the things I have put in my section are quite major developments ie, re trim, exhaust and now engine rebuild, as apposed to 1001 posts about changing fuse plugs. After all, less is more.
