Exterior side strips
« on: 31 December 2003, 00:24 »
Whilst washing my car today i noticed the side strips on the passenger side were starting to peel away :(
Has anyone else had this prob ?
How should they be attached to the doors ? Is it just by double sided tape or are they clipped on ?
Please help as im thinking the whole worlds staring at them coming of as i drive by :(

couldnt see any clips at the ends (which is where i would expect them to be)... plus it seems a bit daft to have holes in the exterior skin in a water-trap like that. My money's on double-sided tape

do not use tape!!!!!!!

this will come off after a few months, ok for badges but not plastics.  I would recommend stickaflex everyday, and makesure  you tape it into place and leave it in place for at least a day. You can buy stickaflex from partco or any automotive outlet for 6 quid, and don't forget the sealent gun.
