Help

I tried to replaced my rear brake discÂ’s on my MK2 golf GTI 16V at the weekend but I could not remove one of the allen key bolts that hold on the caliper  and I ended up screwing the allen key bit up has anyone got a good way to remove it?

Cheers

Lee

Hammer a slightly larger allen key or a spline key into the rounded bolt hole, or hammer a socket onto the head of the bolt if its really mashed up, failing that get yourself some easy-outs

This set's £80  but don't worry you can get a similar set from Halfords for about £7

i had a similar situation working on my car and i locked a set of molegrips on a bolt, obviously they need closing up really really tight to grip it, it came undone so a new bolt was in order, i think the bolt is still being held by the grips in the toolbox!
