Edition 38 Whats it like?

Hi guys
 Some of you will probably remember me, I have the red golf thats done 1/4 million miles. Anyway to the point, my daughters fella and mate are going to the meet and my 2 teenage boys are desperate to go too. To be honest, I feel a little long in the tooth to go, I have this picture in my mind of loads of cars having thousands of pounds spent on them, and lots of ego's too, or am I just being cynical and that there are loads of ordinary golfs there, warts and all. Don't get me wrong, many of the cars are simply stunning but its not my thing, I love my golf because she takes me to work, the kids to school, being loaded up at the builders merchants, then thrashing the nuts of it at the weekend, and after all the miles she still aint complaining. Will there be other like minded enthusiasts at the show.

well i went last year in me mk4 (hobblin round on crutches for the weekend  ), and thought it was damn good, best watercooled show id ever been too, couldnt walk round as much as i wanted to but still was a goodun..... yeah there will be cars there that have had shat loads of dosh thrown at em, but then out of the how ever many thousand turn up thats probs only 10% majority of the cars are peoples day to day runners, never came across any peeps with ego probs, and the chav eliment was at a zero level from what i remember, but then again i was hammered for most of it 

all in all great peeps and great show..

cant get to this one in  me rusty nail so im gonna have to rely on the snapshots that every one else takes..
