Ah well I'll be sticking to Tescos 99Ron as it;s cheap (like my car!).
As a matter of some interest to you all a friend of mine did a study of petrol when at uni studying chemistry. THey took fuel from several different stations and tested it's Ron level against what was advertised. THe results varied from reasonably closes to 10% less than advertised, apparently all random and due to the storage conditions and tank conditions at the stations tested.
THe result of all this was that if you want the best fuel for your car go to a Shell station and fill up with Optimax (As it was then) BUT go to one that opened within the last couple of years that will have new tanks and filtration systems.
