wing mirror problem!!

hi on my 02 golf 100pd se beuty soon to remapped ...

i have a prob when i adjust the drivers side mirror i.e by turnign the electronic knob to R and moving it, the left mirror seems to adjust aswell and then i have to re ajust it by turnign it to L .

when u adjust L then Right mirror does not move its only when u adjust right mirror that the left seems to adjust too.

is thsi normal!

completely normal fella, dont know why vw made it like this but by all accounts you can alter  the passenger side mirror first, then alter drivers side to suit them both ??!! you then get them the same?!! or something like that?? :undecided:

The reason its like this is for reversing so you can see kerbs etc. and it saves you having to adjust both mirrors independantly when you go forward again.  On the MK5 they automatically lower when reverse is engaged then back to normal when put in to a forward gear.
Read your owners manual its all explained in there :grin:
