ABS Sensor
« on: 30 December 2003, 15:56 »
Hi,

I need a new sensor for the ABS at the offside front. I've been quoted ?70 for the sensor, is that accurate or am I being shafted?

Car is a 97 VR6.

Thanks.

No, thats unfitted, thats why I thought it a little expensive.

Is it something you can do yourself? I'm not to knowledgable on car but from what I've read it does sound simple to do?

Just found a sensor on Euro Car Parts for ?32, but not sure if it's the right one. Will give them a bell tmrw and see.

Cheers

Should be fairly straightfoward. Spray plenty of wd40 on the retaining bolt before removing. Keep everything clean.

I can't find a decent photo of it.
Just unbolt it, unplug it, refit and plug in new one.
Should be that simple.
