Im Chris and I've just bought my first GTi. Its a red mk2 8v big bumper (!) 5 door model, it was already modified slightly:
-Powerflow full stainless exhaust system with oval exit
-lowered 40mm,
-16" TSW Venoms
-tinted clusters/indicators/side repeaters,
-debadged front grill etc...!
looks great and goes well despite having 215k miles on the clock!
In the process of tidying it up, as it knocks when pulling away (CV joint or ball joint worn i think), a wheel bearing needs replacing and its very tappety until hot.
lets see how it goes...
