Some help needed.
« on: 23 August 2006, 01:59 »
OK Guys just a newbie here, and looking for some advice on spec.

Out on Sunday Afternoon with the missus looking for a car for Her, she said she wanted a normal wee car,  so she picked a '06 plate pre reg GTI with 34 miles on it.

The Dealer said it is an Import That's why ''the spec is so good'' according to Her she said it came from N.I. , but i didn't think that would class it an Import ?.

We pick the car up on Friday after work

So looking for advice to see if the spec is ''so good'',

2 years european warranty (Made upto 3 year warranty as part of deal)
18'' upgrade
electric sunroof
DSG
6 disc changer
centre arm rest
factory fitted PDC
bi-xenons
cruise control
winter pack (but no heated seats)
electic drivers seat
5 door (better for the kids, according to my missus)
graphite blue
multifunction sterering wheel

can't remember if there was any other extras fitted if there is i'll add it in on Friday

so is £22500 a good price ?

would've liked the leather and sat nav, but thinking of retro fitting the sat nav.

Very good spec, the DSG is around £1500 on it's own, and the other bits add up to more than the difference, plus if you have paid a little more than you would have from a main dealer, it's worth paying it just to avoid the 6 Month plus delivery times!!!

Ask the dealer for the list price of the WINTER PACK back as if it's got no heated seats it aint got no winter pack.

The electric seats are standard on 5 door import golfs.

The winter pack is:

Headlamp washers  (standard with the xenon's)

Heated seats

Heated washers jets

A low washer level indicator.

Thats it - the heated seats and headlamp washers are the main part of this pack!

Sounds DAMN cheap to me!

Other than that it sounds cool - enjoy!
