GTi Wheels.
« on: 18 August 2006, 22:20 »
Ok, i'm after as much info on GTi wheels as possible. If anyone has pictures of the wheels that come on various GTi's, and their sizes etc... Then, hopefully, there will be a style of wheel that is suitable, and i can try and find a part number!

Thanks :)

most common are Avus II's i think

upgrade ones are Montreal's I's and II's

Also think you could specifiy Santa Monicas too  :undecided:

Anniversay models came with limited edition BBS RC's....................

Hi, The mk4 alloys are all 5x100 with something like et35-38. The avus 1's were fitted to the 1.8n/a and 2.0 and possibly some diesels before around 2001ish and are 15's, 6" wide, this is what they look like

the montrealle 1's were fitted to faster models like the 1.8t, v5 etc. And are 16's and 6.5" wide. Heres what they look like
Avus 2's are on the same models as the avus 1 and on pd cars remaining 15"s with five double spokes.
The montrealle 2s are i think made by bbs and therefore go for quite a lot on ebay.
V6's came with the 7 or 8 spoke design wheels in 16"s.
Evolvos alloys are extremly rare like a silver versoin of the santa monicas also in 17"s
Best place for pictures is going to be autotrader and looking at various models and then get them off ebay.

Cheers for the info, can anyone provide Part numbers for these wheels and centre caps at all? And, if possible, a price?

Thanks :)

can't help with part numbers but i used to have the montrel 2 wheels on my 1.8gti T but given them away to mate of mine now. i did lose two centre caps in quick succession, they set me back about £12 each from the dealership who had to order them in especially as they didn't carry stock.

hope this helps ittle bit chap

Have a look on e-bay lots of choice, if you get a set that need re-conditioning then my bro does this for about £43 per wheel (he is a pro valeter/wheel re-furb)
