Hello, i was hoping you might be able to give me some advice on this one as its got me and my tame mechanic stumped!
The wheel bearing started making noise a few weeks ago, it was duely changed and on inspection was knackered. So a replacment went in, all properly on press by a locally respected mechanic with 20 yrs experience, but the noise came back almost straight away.
So we thought, ok dodgy bearing, and it was replaced again and yep same noise back again.
We are at a bit of a loss as to whats causing the noise. Its the trusty 'bearing gone' noise that gets louder when the wheel is loaded up (ie. turning).
Is there anything else that could cause this noise?
The outer CV joint is clicking a bit but nothing too serious yet, the engine mounts are ok, the suspension all seems fine. He had it today and couldn't find anything but its going back in tomorrow.
So yes any ideas to present him with would be great!
Thanks!!
