when I was 19 I had a 5dr mk2 gti, totally standard with a cat2 imob and I was with Tangent. I was paying ?1450 TPF&T (they added ?50 when I switched to my current golf cos it was a 3dr. I told them it was standard too)

I wouldn't advise you go with them as they're complete f**ktards, but if you want to take a chance to get a NCB then they were the cheapest. Just don't try and make a claim.

Just try everyone. HIC do some good deals, but you'll have to settle with TPF&T until you get some NCB built up.

Always best to go on your own really. NCB makes a load of different to your premium.

I got the Elephant 10mth bonus accelerator too.
BTW, Admiral own Elephant.

I got my premium down by putting my parents on as named drivers with me as the main driver. Cost me ?700ish for fully comp on my Mk3 GTI 16v with zero no claims. ;)

I'm 23 and until May last year I had 1 and half years no claims on my old Mk2 1.8 GL, then a minor crunch and decided it was time for a GTI, so I bought my Mk3 GTI 16v.

When I bought the old GL, I was 21 with zero no claims and TPFT cost me ?1300ish with Endsleigh (was a student at the time).
