Hi

I have been asked by my new insurance company for a vaulation of my car, where and how do I go about getting a one?  Any ideas would be muchly appricated.

kraM, isn't yours modified with this that and everything if I remember rightly as I remember replying to your "What's it worth" thread and I said something like 3 - 5k or something.  :undecided:

Even if you said 5k for example the insurance wont give you that if you made a full claim anyway. Your best bet is to PM a user on here called martinb and ask what he suggests as he works for HIC out of Golf+ and may be the best person to advise on this. He's a top lad and has helped quite a few out on here.  :smiley:

mk1s in standard format go for between 1 - 3.5k. Yup it can be that big a gap  :shocked: and it really does depend on the condition etc.

YOUR BEST BET IS TO TO GOT TO YOUR LOCAL VEEDUB SPECIALIST, AND ASK THEM TO DO YOU A VALUE REPORT OF WHAT ITS WORTH AND WHY. IF YOU NEED ANYMORE HELP WITH IT JUST PM ME AND I'LL HELP YOU OUT AS BEST I CAN, LEARNING LOADS AS SOME COW CRASHED INTO MY CABBY AND SHES GOT NO INSURANCE

I have managed to sort out the problem, my insurance company now have a copy of all reciepts.

Thank you for your links and ideas.  I am sorry that I have not replied earlier, all I can say is that I forgot to look back on the site for a reply, best excuss i've got.

kram did you get the vaulation based on the full amount of the receipts or was there some kind of depreciation taken off? :smiley:
