Hmm, seem to remember on some models the handle is slightly different, tho cant remember what the other mechanism is like!! If you're anywhere local I'd be happy to pop in and have a look!!!

Thats only on a MK1, all MK2 handles are the same :)

You sure? Ive never seen the internals of a mk1 door handle! Maybe someone had put a mk1 handle on my mk2 or something.

well i think perhaps really old mk1 or rocco handles?  Or at least audi/porsche ones.  Whatever, late MK1 & MK2 handles are the same.  Front & rear handles are different though ;)
