Hi all,
Can anyone explain to me the benefits of the Digifant injection? Trying to decide between a pre & post 1990 golf.
Thanks
Scott

Digis can be chipped but suffer allot from sensor issues and sometimes lag.
k-jet cant be chipped but is a very responsive injection system.

Digifant is a more modern fuel injection and engine management setup.
A Digifant has a knock sensor to help prevent pinking.
They will run just as well as a K-Jet if setup correctly. If you do buy one, get it setup by a VW specialist, and maybe look at and print out the Digifant tune up guide here

Ps, the Digifant was around from late 1987 onwards. My car was built in July/August 87, registered January 1988 and has Digifant. Very good when it runs right and seems reliable enough. Sensor issues are with the coolant sensor mainly. Once set up correctly it doesn't suffer lag and happily accepts any old fuel
