Would nt it be great of all the safety cameras had to be removed and money earned through, had to be refunded.

Looks promising but they'll wriggle out of it somehow if they can have a war they can put up a few cameras :(

Probably got lost in the "Great Crash of 08

i got flashed on the m1 the other night, they'd closed the 2 outside lanes, for re-surfacing and dropped it to a 50 zone, as only the 1st lane and hard shoulder were open, then as the road works ended and it opened up into 3 lanes again, they'd placed a camera there, then another 50 sign about 3/4 of a mile up the road, so, as everybody picks up speed as the lanes open back up, they get stung ...

i personally feel like telling them to f**k off, as it's just a pure money spinning camera, there was no danger to anyone,it was 10pm on a sunday night, with minimal traffic and no road works in operation, which is why they're supposed to be there....

am just hoping it didn't have a film.... :undecided:

If the Gatso flashed you twice, then a good chance your nict, if it flashed you once, then its calibrating its self.  They have to do this.  So I have read.

Who ever thought up the penalty point system is a complete t$sser.  You dont mind the cash, its caught 4 times, then your off the road, what a sl4g!!!!!

I already have 3 points, caught in my Astra Van doing 83 on the M6, Cumbria police, shafted me, bummer.  I was also using a Snooper at the time, that didnt alert me to the yellow van on the bridge.

Just to let you now the Snooper was destroyed.

You cant mate, they work the time x distance = Speed.  They can compare that with the 2 pictures of your car.

Driver identity is the weak link in the system so far as Gatso is concerned.  Speed cameras take a picture of the car not the driver. Although this may have or not already changed, there is absolutely no photographic evidence that any one person was driving your car.

In other words, the police can prove that someone was driving a particular motor in excess of a speed limit, but not exactly who.  At the end of the day, only the honesty of the registered keeper who receives the NOIP can identify the actual driver.

While it is an offence not to disclose the identity of the driver of a vehicle - or to give false information - it is always, possible that misunderstanding and confusions can occur as to who was actually driving a particular vehicle at the time, and where they are to be found.

Hope this helps
