I'm not suggesting we should all rush out and buy cars like this I'm just demonstrating the point that bottom end grunt and speed aren't the reason most of us buy GTI's, its the whole thing, the car as a package, the handling, the character, the classic shape, the history and the fact that our cars wear the badge that started it all  :wink:
