iv had a full system fited in the last couple of days and there was a similar issue. The only thing you can do is weld together small sections of pipe gradually stepping upwards until they match. Its a long and painful process which I paid way too much for but im so happy with it now! looks and sounds great and Im sure it is a little faster now. Not that it matters much as its only a 1.4 but Im happy
