The get slick a diesel thread...
« on: 01 August 2006, 20:31 »
Yes you heard, i have been saying i am going to put the golf in a box for the last two years and now it is coming close to me doing it, storage is arranged, a car is in my sights, (it is a VAG car) insurance quotes are in the pipelines, and the only drawback is i am a bit short of cash.

so i am asking the people of golfgti to be generous and donate to the get slick a diseasle club, and take my poor abused old tank off the road for some much needed R&R.

I thankyou.

Aye mate, but the reserve hasn't been met on that, and ..

Category C - Repairable salvage. Usually applies to vehicles with significant (structural) damage, where cost of repairs exceeds book value. Can be sold complete to Trade or Public. Recorded as "Category C" at DVLA. Category C vehicles' V5 documents are returned to DVLA. You re-apply, to DVLA or at your local VRO, for registration on the original identity once you have fixed it up, MOTed it and want to Tax it. Re-registration removes the Category C classification, but evidence it was at one time Category C remains on the vehicle's record at DVLA (and HPI and AA and the others).

not the greatest outlook. Plus i have a minter in my sights, plus it is an estate, and am prob only a little off the final price i can get it for. Been trawling that site for the past week or however long it's been.
