should i buy this mark 3?

ok so i have been running an 8 valve mark 2 for several months now and am quite happy with it, except i have always wanted a vr6. My mate has bought a Scooby, therefore he is selling his vr6. It is K-reg, black good bodywork tiny bit of rust near the bottom of rear panel near sill, although it has had new sills welded completely in the past. It had fsh, it is lowered on nearly new Koni shocks, It has a full stainless powerflow exhaust, 122k , runs and drives great, standard five spoke 15 inch alloys. Would i be wise to buy it for £1500? any help would be appreciated. Cheers
