Thinking of selling up, advice?

Ok, so basically I've got too many cars and am running into quite major money problems, in that I can no longer afford to live! I've got a mk2 gti that ive had for the last couple of years, have been accumulating parts for it whenever i find a bargain and now all thats left is bolting it all together really, but will have to spend a bit more to get it finished (as is always the case with projects). However after tracking down so many bargain parts and having an image of where i want the car to go for so long i really want to see her done! Will take a bit of time however, as will be working full time with other commitments too.

Have a scirocco as well, has a couple of tiny problems but only very cheap fixes, however she is already for sale as I owe money for the car i just bought, my mk1 van.

The mk1 was bought as the scirocco was drinking a bit too much petrol and the mk1's a diesel, and need a bit of a hack for work. Plus i love the mk1!

So basically looking for someone to tell me what an idiot i am and to sort my life out, as it would be really nice to not be scraping the bottom of my overdraft limit for just a little while! Plus getting a bit sick of not being able to go out and enjoy uni life while im here because im too busy paying out insurance/tax for god knows how many cars!!!

What do you reckon? If someone comes up with another answer that'd be great too!!

well...why for buy loadsa stuff if its outside ya means?! thats just dim tim..
you shudn stretch ya budget..shud just get at least one car lookin uber cool..
thats my opinion anyhoo..i daint like payin two insurance/tax for polo n cab..

Well it wasnt outside my means, I never buy parts if I cant afford them, I only buy bits when I have a bit of spare money. Problem has arisen because of disagreement with past landlord etc etc and a couple of other things that have left me with rather less money than I had expected to have at this time.

i have 3 cars at the moment too, i only run one as the other two cant be run write offs and major engine problems have caused that!

just take a look at what you need them all for and if you dnt really need one of them then get rid.

dont sell the mk1!!!!!!! You'll only regret it! (Although if you do let me know )

I think Id take whatever you can for the rocco, just to tide you by for long enough to get the mk2 finished, then sell that, sit back and admire your new aquisition! You know the mk1 van is destined to get people talking where ever you take it!

Yeh, I think the mk1 has just taken my attention a bit too much! Pretty much decided to sell the mk2 and the pile of parts i have for her seperately, as it will make my life easier and i'll probably get more money that way anyway!

sell the rocco, all the parts for your mk2 and hav it as a daily...then have the mk1 as your project car

Nah, would feel bad havin the mk2 as just a daily, if shes not gonna be the project shes gonna go! Mk1 will eventually be a proper project, will probably take her ff the road over winter and treat her to a new engine!

Anyway, its decided now, all bits for sale, rocco's for sale, and gti will be when shes got some MOT!!
