mk2- rusty spare wiper recess

Hi was wondering if anyone has had their rusty wiper recess (the one for lhd cars- if that makes sense?) flushed over?
I'm gonna get a quote this week and wondered what sort of price to expect. I've got a few other bits that need doing too but i wont bore you all with that. Sadly i need this doing desperately before i spend any more on the old gal, especially as I've only had her 3 weeks . Any help would be great, cheers.

I had mine done but have no idea on cost as it was done as part of a full body job. Its not a simple flush over jobbie though as a plate has to be clamped onto the motor arm otherwise it would flap about.

Had rust removed, smoothed over and painted.  It cost about 120 - 140 buck, they had to take the windscreen out etc to sort the rust.  Not sure if thats what to expect but it will give you an idea.

Thanks guys, thats cheered me up abit. I was expecting more like 200-300 bucks. I thought the windscreen might have to come out, but hey i only want it doing the once. Gonna take it to msm (a local bodyshop) who are supposed to be the best around these parts, but they're not very cheap. I'll let you know how it goes, Thanks again!

How did you get on with this job mate? it's the one outstanding job i want to get done on my new GTI and that doesn't sound like a bad price of £120-140

Anybody had it done and can recommend a good body shop?

I got it done by a guy in Beverley nr Hull who was pretty good.  If your near I'll look out his details.

Shame was up there quite a bit this summer at the Hull university ground by the police station doing part time kids coaching and visiting my cousin who plays for Hull City
