Will VW keep you informed of delivery?

Debit cards are OK but its a pain speaking to the bank as they allways need authorisation

Not necessarily.  Maybe its just lovely me but all I needed was the entry of my PIN number as normal, and it went through.  The dealer did warn me that it might be the case that further authorisation could be required, but at least in my case it wasn't so.

yeah I suppose it depends on which bank your with?  womble68 who are you with where you didnt need authorisation?  Doc who are you with that needed authorisation?  hope it's no abbey.

Do you actually pay for the car on the day your supposed to collect it? or is that done a few days before...from your experience?

On the day I collect it - interest in our favour!

Yeh dealers won't take credit cards but they will take debit cards they can track the delivery on the computer
