Near Miss

So, I left for work today in the G60, thought I'd give her a run, and what do I find at the end of my road in a layby? about 20 coppers, a VOSPA van, and alot of pulled over cars.

Fortunatly there was a bit of a traffic Queue as I approcached them, and i crept up close behind the car infront so they couldn't see the number plate.

I went past them!  without them seing it, only to look in the rear view mirror to see them all staring at the car looking pissed! 

Think I'll take an alternative route home, with the VOSPA van there, they were sure to have fined me.

  Thats sweet then... I think its a fine but no points still something we all dont need! I was driving back last night and a lapse of memory I went past a truvelo camera at 75mph limit was 60 but luckily a lorry was blocking its line of sight

I was on holiday last week, and just as I was driving up a hill, I spotted one of those nasty speed check camera vans at the top. I had been accellerating up the hill (as you do) but slowed down when I spotted the van. Thought I'd slowed down enough, but no,    I got a letter through saying I'd been caugh doing 36mph in a 30mph zone.
It was a bl**dy country road in between villages, I don't remember seeing a sign, and there was certainly no warning of a speed camera, it was just the back end of a white transit van that greeted me as I got up to the top of the hill with a camera in the back window.

£60 fine and 3 points probably. In 9years driving no points or fines or anything.

theres more cameras going up all the time, i read somewhere, in the region of 400 more soon to grace our roads..... and its not a money making scam honest !!

road deaths/accidents are coming down all the time and the money pot of the police is increasing, its just not fair!  the knock on effect is what gets me, increased insurance etc etc, even petrol prices are way too high.....

it makes you wonder what the government are playing at??

if its only a fine for the german plates, i might get me a set
