The 4 motion is expensive but a much better car. Yes you can tune the turbo car up, but the v6 already has the power and a hell of a lot more potential.

If its a question of looks and individuality, i would go for the Anniversary.  The V6 looks like any other golf but the anniversary is something else.  When i m finished with my PD130 I am gonna track down Silver PD150 Anniversary.  You just gotta love those wheels, but i would'nt wanna try cleaning them!!!!

Plus the V6 is gonna cot a bomb on fuel judging by the Economy figures.
Me old diesel was quick/........

16.004 sec Qtr mile @ 85mph 23/5/04 Santa Pod

Now running around in soon to be REVO'd Seat ibiza 1.8T 20v FR and missing the fuel economy..............

Go for the 1.8T Anni. With a remap you will have more power than the V6 both horsepower and torque, coulpled with a few other mods you will be leaving the V6 4Mo a long way behing you in your rear view mirror.
To get any real power from the V6 you have to spend major money (?1000's). If you spent the same on the 1.8T then you would probably end up with >300bhp!!

Well not really, if you tuned the 1.8T to 300bhp you are gonna have to spend big money on it. Unless you want it to blow up in a couple of weeks. The turbo car will never be as good as a v6.
The v6 has 204bhp as standard, thats without exhaust, filter, cams, chip etc.
Plus for a couple of grand you will be able to put a supercharger on the v6, big power and not a lot of loss in reliability.

think id plump for an anni as well, saw one in grimsby today!! spent a while starin at the 18" wheels!! looks wise yep 'anni' for me and as i used to be a turbo head i think id be less scared to mess about with a 1.8t!!!!! ::) ::) ::)

Have you seen how fast those v6s can go?
Just with a filter and exhaust your looking at around 220bhp!

fair point but for me wantin to do me own stuff id rather work with a blower and fwd!!!! done me own turbo technics xr3i years ago and have always done me own engine bits and bobs so for my choice it would have to be the 'anni' :D :D
