The jap cars are very cheap as well as very quick. They depreciate like a breeze block in a river. You need to ask yourself why?

subaru is not swedish. swedish cars ie. saab and volvo are built to last like vws.

Im sure Subaru's came from up there...

cos back in the 80's or summet they came to the UK and had no car dealerships etc... and .... the "whole thing was a f*cking disgrace" (Billy Connelly Impression)

Depreciate ?? No more so than any other countries car.. Look at the Honda Civic CRX and the Nissan 100Nx... They hold probably the highest values for there age (relative to original purchase price).

Maybe you have a point there danhock, however the majority of these performance jap car DO depreciate very fast, much quicker than a lot of vws.
You get what you pay for in this world, you can get a new impreza, for example, relatively cheap for the performance it produces. Ask yourself, why so cheap? answer - because it won't last.
If you like jap cars so much then why don't you go and buy one.
