nice one guys, it seens mine is running average.
been to my local garage, need a O.S.F wheel bearing, new fuel filter as mine is leaking and a better inspection of intercooler pipes because theres oil running out the connections into the cooler  :undecided:
these wont be helping consumption either! all happened within 1,000miles grrrrrr

Hmmn - In an AUM 150bhp year 2001 build 3dr, I get about 130 - 135 miles to £20 quid.  I can buy super unleaded in my part of the country for 97.5 pence per litre.  I am lucky enough to choose when I drive, so I always avoid the rushhour.

If I drive hard though, mpg will fall to 23 miles per gallon, just a tad less than 100 miles to £20.

I think the turbo cars are quite good in traffic, light on the pedal and you dont hear the KO3s turbo whistle that much.

The only maintenance mods I have are:
1) The best Bosch platinum plugs for this head
2) Castrol SLX 0W-30W fully synthetic
3) I clean the air filter every month with a strong aquavac, oh, and I clean the  coils for best electrical contact.  All sensors are working correctly as well.
4) Rims; Montreal 2.   Tyres; new F1's

Bigger 18" rims with a 40 profile boot will give you more distance   You may get you money back after xx000's of miles

The new MK5 TDI 138 bhp on 16"rims with 205/55 tyres returned on normal touring driving style a figure of 47.6 miles per gallon, per Autocar Road Test.

That is equivalent to 487 miles on £45 worth of Derv or 216 miles on £20.

I don't know where or how this imaginary 300 miles on £20 quid worth of Derv is achieved - Derv @ 96.5 pence per litre at the moment.
