Creeking interior door panel

On my drivers door, the plastic panel above the arm rest etc creaks if I apply pressure to it, and when I'm driving it creaks as i go round corners or pull off in first gear etc. I pushed the same bit of plastic on the passenger side and it doesn't creek. I was wondering if I take the door panel off and treat the back of the plastic with some sort of treatment? Like the leather treatmnent you get for leather upholstory? would this cure the creeking plastic? Are there any other products I could use? And how the hell do I remove the door panel
Thanks for all your help guys

not heard of that one yet sunny!!! havent got any creeks or rattles on my 99 gti!! well not that i can hear over my 3 screamin kids and the stereo!! lol, although mine does have the famous mk4 door creek (when you open and shut) which comes and goes!! and no matter what grease etc i try it still turns up every now and then!!!, id say for the 'creek' your on about you could take the door panel off and have alook!!!, i took my passenger door panel off when my window reg broke, youll need a torx driver and a phillips driver, you could try some kind of 'silicon grease' in between the bits where the plastic jioins together and see if that cures it!!!! have fun!!!! (all this talk of 'creeks' reminds me of the rugby!!!! 20/17)
ho ho ho merry xmas!!!

I had the same creaking as Sunny's and took it back to the dealer. They changed the strike plate which didn't cure the problem so took car back again. In the end they took off the door trim and applied silicone grease to all the lugs and pressure points. Driver's door is now fine but I can now hear same problem developing from passenger front door. Booked in again tomorrow!
