Borbet A 9Jx16's on a VR6
« on: 26 June 2006, 12:30 »
Hi, could anyone tell me what I would need to fit a set of Borbet A 9Jx16's on a VR6 5x100. The Et is 15 and I think the recommended Et for the VR6 is 30-35. Would spacers work to clear the brakes or is it more technical than that?

They are already going to about 5cm further towards the arches than et35 7's so spacers are going to create even more wheel arch fun!

Out of interest, how come you are forever advertising wheels for sale on here but don't seem to know much about their fitment?

Hi JV, thanks for the info. I sometimes need help on the really deep dished rims as I am not a technical expert when it comes to archwork/brake clearance etc. If anyone can add any help on this matter I'd appreciate it.

as said, ET15 is spaced further away from the hub, so you'll have no issues whatsoever clearing the brakes/suspension, but you may have problems with the arches, especially if you've lowered it a fair amount and since they're very wide!
Thinner stretched tires can help, but the offset is still rather low you may still have to chop/roll the arches.

Best to get them on and have a look really :)

Thanks for the advice mate. They clear the brakes which is the main thing. If anyone has got a set of these on a VR6 (not lowered) could you let me know if any mods were required to the arches. Cheers.
