Hey everone, I've been reading the forum an awful lot, but now I can post too. I shall soon be collecting my first Gti. I have only waited 14 years to lay my hands on one, so it's no mean feat. I have long been a classic car fan, but none of the other classic fans shared my facination for the Mk1 and mk2 Gti!
Sure, they all agreed that the sunbeam alpine, triumph stag, Jensen interceptor, DB series and Lotus elans 2+2 we're great classics, but when I mentioned cars that appeared post 1980 they wandered away in disgust!
Well I think that the gti is a classic, and I will be making my gti stock and original!
well alright maybe I will make a few tasteful mods, suspension, power steering, supercharger etc ahem.
