Been having a worrying time driving my 1990 8v Digi lately. The temp MFA reading has been shooting around like mad. Starts off as usual and sits at around 100 whilst the water stays at around the first mark. Then as soon as i sit at some traffic lights for a while the oil temp starts to climb from 100 - 118 then down to 104 then up to 136 then 148 then back down again whilst the water stays between the 1st and 2nd marker.
What could this be? Is the temp sensor buggered? Or is there a hot running problem? Never had the problem before, usually sits at around 92-96.
Any info would be much appreciated.
