DSG gearbox
« on: 20 June 2006, 16:37 »
Hi to the forum

I have just bought today - 1yr old, Golf GTI DSG, 3 door in black with leather, sat nav, autochanger, winter pack and 18" alloys.  The car had done almost 19000 miles and is due for its first service.

My question is that how do the member use the DSG?  Do you keep your cars in automatic and never really use the paddles?

Cheers guys

50% Auto
30% Sport
20% Paddles, but this is growing.........

Just don't bother with trying a launch control start with a GTi, well unless you want some new tyres  :smug:

Have to agree with this - the system is too keen to get to 6th in normal mode, and a bit too keen in sport mode... They should rename the normal one Economy, and create a program somewhere in the middle for D...
