I have a Peugeot 405 MI 16. I have just put a pic up of it. I don't understand why they get such a bad rep. Yea the 205 is no match compared to the MK1 but my MI was 18 grand?s worth of car in '92 and I just bought it for 900 quid 6 weeks ago. What a barging it has 160 bhp and only weighs 1100 kg. That?s some serious power and good for a top speed of over 145 miles an hour. The build quality of the engine is really good, much better than the 205. I?m sure people will slag me off for owning this but I still prefer my golf?s but until I've run in my new one this is the best motorway car I own.

I had a renault 19 16v last year as my daily back and forth car. seemed like I was fixing it more than driving it and really it was a disappointing ride at that. tracked like a dog and would start losing the back end in corners that my Golf just laughs at. Finally sold it to a bloke up the street. That car in particular had the cheapest made interior ever seen and was an electrical nightmare. Not to mention it never broke cheap. I'm done with french cars. I must have been sick when I bought it.  ;D
