Why didn't you go for this : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4650330349&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

It's black, got all the electrics and luxuries including ultra rare Air Con, but 5dr.

If I could have been allowed an old skool Mk2 by the Mrs, I would have had it for £500, but it didn't sell.

You got to stick at what you want...

Because there will always be that day where you see a 3dr and you have a 5dr and you think damn shoulda got one...

Keep your eyes out for one and it will come...

I would have 3dr so I cant give people lifts as easy... Sorry I would give you a lift but I cant be bothered to move lol

Look at the description it does say that it has a 1991 spec interior, which obviously doesn't match a 1986 Golf.
Air con was only really available in hot countries like south africa, so it's either an imported car, or was put in later.

My old Mk2 was a 3dr Atlas Grey, it was great apart from when I needed to load it up or give lifts.
5 doors makes it easier to get people in, and also for loading the car up with the seats down.

Depends on what you need the most, do you ever put the seats down and fill the back? How often do you give people lifts?

If you want 3doors, just carry on looking, there are still plenty of Mk2's around.

Quick look on ebay turns up:
