glad they caught him but he will just sit in a jail someplace and be a drain on the taxpayers now. Damn shame he wasn't "accidently" killed. My question is this though. After being in the U.S. Military for 11 years now and being taught to hate Sadam and all who am i supposed to hate now. I guess Osama Bin Laden will have to do. :) Hopefullt know those in Iraq can live in peace and not have to fear their government

The trail is just going to be a formality - to show that justice is being carried out - but odds on he will be held on trial in the middle east and get the death penalty - just hope it doesnt make him a martyr!! that would be far worse than having him languishing in some Arabian flea pit of a jail with nothing but the rats nibbling on his toes to remind him that he is still alive!!
I don't own this anymore - I just can't be arsed to change the picture

Whilst I agree that Iraq is better without him and he deserves everything he gets for the murderous way he ruled Iraq. And as much as I would love to say the world is a safer place now without him (coz it aint). And as much as I would love to see him linked to terrorism  and 9/11 - he wont be because he isn't. And as much as we would all like to sit in our little ivory towers and preach good and evil to the world lets not forget who sold him these weapons he used on his own people as well as his neighbouring countries (he was our closest ally in the middle east in the eighties even whilst still murdering his own people then). Lets not forget what we were told was the reason for this war. We were not told it was to rid Iraq of an evil dictator. If this were the case we could end up fighting half the globe - Zimbabwe, Nrth Korea, Libya, Burma, Cuba, Belarus - what about Saudi Arabi?  No - we were told that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction? We were all in danger!!!!! So where are the the WMD's we were told they had?

Saddam Hussain was a welcome capture - but lets not forget WHY we went to war in the first place!

I have no doubts as to the weapons of mass destruction. Gonna be a b1tch to find them though. I saw an article where a few months back the military pulled a mig 29 out that had been buried in the sand in Baghdad. Gonna be a long road but eventually something will come out of it. The world will never be rid of terror though. I hate to say that as I am in the military but it is the truth. About the time one part of the world quiets down another flares up again. Just the nature of man i suppose.

Very true Adam. :) Didn't realize you are in the military as well. Luckily I haven't lost any close mates this time around but at the same time the military is a big brotherhood. We all take care of our own and when someone in umiform is killed it's like losing a friend or family member.

Wolfrace, no need to be sorry. It's unfortunatly heavy times we live in :)
