Carbon Fibre Dash Trim?
« on: 08 June 2006, 12:54 »
Hey guys,

I've seen plenty R32 brushed aluminium kits for replacing the dash trim, ashtray cover etc.
I prefer a darker dash and was wondering whether there was a Carbon Fibre alternative out there?

Just an idea, need to dig thorugh a D&W catalogue maybe.

Cheers

yes I saw the thread from the guy who'd sprayed his. It worked well, but not sure how long it will last.

I have to say I'm a little adverse to using stickover fibre stuff, but then the last time I did something like that was 10 years ago so the products may have improved a fair bit!

I just thought it would have been a standard dash upgrade kit...but maybe fibre's old hat now?!

I'll have to find an alternative. Thanks for the input.

if you do a search on that forum for Carbon fibre optic trim it should bring up  aload of threads about various types you can get; like gold optic, silver optic.

the stuff is out there but I warn you - ITS PRICEY!!

edit - have a look here http://www.uk-mkivs.net/forums/thread/529855.aspx
