Just seen Astra written off.......
« on: 11 December 2003, 11:00 »
Just went to Dr's and at end of our road was a car and a Astra who had crashed. The Astra was a right mess. Whole front caved in up to dash, Windscreen smashed and the woman driving looked a bit of a state too  :'( Didnt see other car as was behind a lorry but I had simular accident in a Passat Estate 2 years ago and didnt do that much damage. OK I didnt see how fast she was going but looked like it was same sort of accident. Our car only smashed front in and didnt come up to dash or touch windscreen. Scary.

Yeah its scary - could happen to anyone of us at anytime.

I get paranoid wen I see small children or animals - couldn't live with myself if I hurt anyone  ;D

Just scared me the way the car caved in. I feel safe in the Golf it is built well. My ex had Astra simular and didnt feel as safe. The Passat Estate was great. Felt like a tank.  ;D Trying to persuade Hubby to get rid of VR6 and get another Estate but he wont. Or a 7 seater.  ;)

I have most of my 'boot consuming' ICE on plugs. so when I need to put a pram in there I can. bolt in the recaro baby seat and away we go.

We have more tools than the RAC and AA put together in the boot of our car!!!!!! So by the time we have 2 kids in back and us there is no room for shopping or anything else  :-\ I need a bigger car. Also wont get 3 kids in it if we have anymore as only a lap belt in middle. Ummmmmmmm might pay to have another baby. Bigger car and house needed.  :P  :P  :P
